We had a sizable iFunny server with Tinkers a few years ago and it turned into a massive arms race of who could make the most cracked armor and weapons by exploiting the different modifiers
I think this version of Tinkers is not as broken as older ones, but also the Create mod and it's addons add a lot of things that are just going to break PvP meta. For example, there is an extendo arm thing that adds like 5 blocks to your reach which sort of negates your god sword unless you also have one lol.
Also just the fact that you can make airships with giant howitzers on the bottom of them will generally impede typical melee combat I think.
I don’t mean this as a negative btw. It was a lot of fun, particularly since all of us were completely new to using Tinkers in multiplayer. Not a single mod veteran who knew all the meta builds, we were all figuring it out on the fly
I wasn't implying that I thought it was bad. The whole point of this modpack is to be an arms race, but I intended it to mostly be about literal armaments lmao.
To be honest, Tinkers Construct is mostly there just to provide a cool smeltery and make certain crafting recipes easier. That being said, I think it still probably provides the best melee weapons, at least when augmented by Create stuff like the Extendo Grip. I'm just not sure how good melee combat will be.
Can I broadcast lengthy streams and then hyperprocess and overedit them over the course of a few weeks to then create monthly SMP uploads with a contrived story and stakes, thereby making me a millionaire?
This is probably the most advanced mech mod I've seen. Fully modular mechs that have up to 8 hardpoints and must be assembled in specialized create-powered factories
I made a 400 mod mod pack once, it blue screened my computer. I gave up on making my dream goyslop pack after that. I want to try this though. You have mods like terralith and tectonic for world generation? William withers overhauled overworld also adds nice vanilla blocks only biomes.
I love the biome and village mods that use exclusively vanilla blocks and make the most beautiful scenes for very minimal performance impact, stuff like this makes me wonder what mojang is even doing at this point
William withers overhauled overworld isn't on 1.19.2 so I can't use it. I installed Terralith and Tectonic though (have not yet added to the Technic pack; still waiting to see if there are any others I want to add).
Nullscape and amplified nether also are pretty interesting in terms of worldgen, making the nether and the end take advantage of the new world-height and all. Since I can't edit comments I apologize for the spam, I meant to say names, not biomes* (on the sister project comment)

But anyway I really dig these mods because they don't add anything too ugly that doesn't use vanilla blocks, they're quite fun.
I mean as far as biome mods go they're pretty and don't make biomes too crazy, not that I have found anything ugly, lol. (Unlike some dry or candy-color biomes from other mods)
I'll look into terralith/tectonic but I need to make sure it won't mess up any ore spawns or anything that would halt progression. I think they will be fine though.
